Muscatine County District Court - 3/28/2014

The following occurred in Muscatine County District Court on 3/28/2014:

CHRISTOPHER FRANKS, DOB: 11/21/1972, of Letts, pleaded guilty to Possession With Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine and Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana. A traffic stop by a Muscatine County Sheriff's Deputy found that FRANKS was in possession of a quantity of both marijuana and methamphetamine which he intended to distribute. FRANKS will be sentenced May 9, 2014, at 9:00 a.m.

LANE GASAWAY, DOB: 2/25/1996, of Muscatine, was sentenced for the offense of Lascivious Acts with a Child. The Court imposed a suspended five year prison sentence and placed the defendant on supervised probation. In addition the defendant will be on supervised release for the next ten years and will be required to register as a sex offender. Investigation by the Muscatine Police Department showed that GASAWAY solicited a thirteen year old to engage in a sex act.

CODY WHITE, DOB: 7/11/1989, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, pleaded guilty to Eluding and Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated. The defendant attempted to elude two Muscatine County Sheriff's Deputies after fleeing from the location of a traffic stop by a Muscatine Police Department officer. WHITE will be sentenced May 23, 2014, at 9:30 a.m.

CORY STYCH, DOB: 4/12/1991, of Muscatine pleaded guilty and was sentenced for Eluding and Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated. The defendant attempted to elude a Muscatine County Sheriff's Deputy. He was sentenced to concurrent prison sentences for a total term of not to exceed two years.

DONALD WAYNE FULSCHER, DOB: 2/1/1986, of Muscatine, pleaded guilty and was sentenced for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver. Investigation showed the defendant was in possession of a distribution quantity of methamphetamine which was discovered during a traffic stop
by a Muscatine County Sheriff's Deputy. The defendant had previously been convicted of a felony offense on two separate occasions. The Court sentenced the defendant to an indeterminate term of not to exceed 15 years.
