Today, April 16, 2014, in Muscatine County District Court:
ANDREW SCOTT MAYFIELD, DOB: 6/29/1984, of Muscatine, was sentenced after pleading guilty to Lascivious Acts with a Child and Sex Offender Registry Violation. The Court imposed consecutive prison sentences for a total term of not to exceed 12 years. In addition the defendant will be on supervised release as if on parole for the remainder of his life following his prison sentence. He will also be subject to the requirements of the sex offender registry.
Investigation by the Muscatine Police Department showed that MAYFIELD had fondled the genitals of a child. He was also in violation of his obligations under the Iowa Sex Offender Registry due to a prior juvenile adjudication for a sex offense.
The following occurred April 15, 2014, in Muscatine County District Court:
RUSTY WADDEN, DOB: 8/22/1988, of Muscatine, pleaded guilty to Burglary in the Third Degree and Theft in the Second Degree. Investigation by the Muscatine County Sheriff's Office showed that he entered a commercial building and stole property stored inside. He will be sentenced May 30, 2014, at 9:15 a.m.
JARED WOOD, DOB: 7/12/1989, of Muscatine, pleaded guilty in two cases. In one he pleaded to two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Third Offense and Driving While Revoked. In the second he pleaded to Possession of a Controlled Substance, Third Offense and Child Endangerment. Both cases were investigated by the Muscatine Police Department. He will be sentenced May 23, 2014, at 9:30 a.m.
