Texas man pleads guilty to sexual abuse of five year old

March 27, 2012, in Muscatine County District Court:

ISSAC JOSEPH CLINE, DOB: 1/4/1986, formerly of Houston, Texas, pleaded guilty to four counts of Lascivious Acts with a Child, each a class “C” felony.

CLINE was arrested after an investigation by the Muscatine Police Department into a complaint of CLINE having sexual contact with a five year old female in 2006. The child was forensically interviewed at the Child Protection Center in Muscatine, Iowa in connection with the investigation.

“We expect consecutive sentences for a total term of not to exceed forty years,” said Muscatine County Attorney Alan Ostergren. “In addition, the defendant will be on lifetime supervised release after he completes his prison term. He will also be required to register as a sex offender,” he continued.

The Muscatine Police Department was assisted by the Harris County (Texas) Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.

CLINE will be sentenced May 11, 2012, at 9:15 a.m. He remains in the Muscatine County Jail while awaiting sentencing.
