Prison sentence for multiple burglaries and theft

On Friday, October 9, 2015, in Muscatine County District Court:

MARTY STANBRO, 50, of Muscatine was sentenced after pleading guilty to five counts of burglary in the third degree as a habitual offender. The court imposed a total sentence of prison for a term not to exceed 30 years. In addition, STANBRO will be required to pay victim restitution for numerous other burglaries which he had also committed. The arrest and prosecution of STANBRO was the result of an investigation by the Muscatine Police Department.

STANBRO was also sentenced in a unrelated case for the offense of theft in the second degree as a habitual offender. He received a prison sentence of a term not to exceed 15 years. This sentence will be served consecutively to his burglary case for a total term of not to exceed 45 years. This case was the result of an investigation by the Muscatine County Sheriff's Office.

Also, GREGORY WAYNE MYERS, 57, of Davenport was sentenced after pleading guilty to eluding and two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm - all as a habitual offender. The court imposed a prison sentence of not to exceed 15 years. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Muscatine County Sheriff's Office. MYERS faces a parole revocation proceeding and numerous warrants for burglary cases in other jurisdictions. He will be turned over to other law enforcement authorities before beginning his prison sentence.
