Muscatine County District Court 5/11/2012

EARL WOOTEN IV, DOB 2/12/1993, Muscatine, Iowa was sentenced for Theft in the Second Degree, a class "D" felony. Wooten was granted a deferred judgment and ordered to pay a $750 civil penalty. Wooten was ordered to successfully complete the residential correctional facility. Wooten was also ordered to pay victim restitution.


Investigation by the Muscatine Police Department and the Coralville Police Departmentshow the defendant had stolen a vehicle from a convenience store in Coralville and had driven it to Muscatine on February 5, 2012.



CRAIG EUGENE HETZLER, DOB 8/23/1977, 3058 New Era Road, Muscatine, Iowa, was sentenced for five counts of Forgery, a class "D" felony. Hetzler was sentenced to an indeterminate period in the Iowa Department of Corrections not to exceed 5 years and pay a $750 fine on each count. The sentences were ordered to be served consecutively for a total term of 25 years. Hetzler was ordered to pay victim restitution.


Investigation by the Muscatine County Sheriff shows that Hetzler forged five checks not belonging to him on October 22, 2011.



ISSAC CLINE, DOB 1/4/1986, 13827 Blazey Drive, Houston, Texas, was sentenced for four counts of Lascivious Acts with a Child, a class "C" felony. Clint was sentenced to an indeterminate period in the Iowa Department of Corrections not to exceed 10 years and a $1000 fine on each count. The sentences were ordered to be served consecutively for a total term not to exceed 40 years.


Investigation by the Muscatine Police Department showed that Cline engaged in sex acts with a minor during the time period of 2003-2005.



BETTY JO GRAY, DOB 1/30/1974, 612 Evans Street, Muscatine, Iowa, was sentenced for Possession of Contraband in a Jail Facility, a class "D" felony. Gray was sentenced to an indeterminate period in the Iowa Department of Corrections not to exceed 5 years and a $750 fine. The term of incarceration was suspended, and the defendant was placed on supervised probation for 2 years.


Investigation by the Muscatine Police Department showed that Gray attempted to enter the Muscatine County Jail while having methamphetamine in her possession.
