Muscatine County Attorney Alan R. Ostergren announced that today, June 29, 2014, at 3:50 p.m. a 911 call was received at the Muscatine County Joint Communications Center to report an altercation at 2007 Lincoln Blvd., Muscatine. Officers arrived on scene and found a male subject who had been shot multiple times. The victim was transported to Unity Point Trinity Hospital in Muscatine where he was later pronounced dead.
Officers arrested JORDAN DAUFELDT, DOB: 12/2/1990, of 2007 Lincoln Blvd. for the offense of Murder in the First Degree. The deceased subject is TROY ANTHONY OTT, DOB: 7/17/1990, of Muscatine.
The investigation into OTT's death is ongoing. Muscatine Police are currently executing a search warrant at the scene of the incident.
DAUFELDT was arrested without incident. He will be held without bond in the Muscatine County Jail pending a court appearance tomorrow morning at the Muscatine County Courthouse. The criminal charge against him is merely an accusation and he is presumed to be innocent.
